A 28-man dhl Storm tour team will leave Cape Town on Monday for a two-match two-match series that will see them take on Glasgow Braves and London Irish.
The team will arrive in Glasgow on Wednesday before Sunday’s Vodacom United Rugby Championship game against the Glasgow Braves.
The following Sunday, they take on London Ireland in their Heieneken Champions Cup comeback before returning to Cape Town to face ASM Clermont Auvergne at the dhl Stadium on Saturday 21 January.
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Stefan Ungerer are both returning from injuries, while Imad Khan and Simon Miller are making their first tour and are expected to make their dhl Stormers debuts.
dhl Stormers head coach John Dobson said the two-week tour will be a true test of the team’s depth.
“We have two tough games in very different conditions to what we experienced at home last month, so it will be a real test for us.
“There are some veteran players out with injuries, but we’re excited to see new players join us and we look forward to the opportunity for the whole squad to grow and learn together on tour,” he said.
